Obituary of Sharon Lee Gleba

Sharon Lee Gleba Funeral services for Sharon Lee Gleba of O'Fallon, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Pastor Andrew Gimbel of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O'Fallon, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery, in Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Neil Wehde, Tim Hanlon, Bob Kies, Earl "Skip" Hafner, Jr., Kevin Vestal and Walter Gleba. Mrs. Gleba, 60, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 12, 2010 at Gardenview Care Center in O'Fallon, MO. Born October 21, 1949 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Joseph Anthony and Thelma Alma Haefner Parrinello. She was a graduate of Northwest High School in St. Louis and attended the University of Missouri in St. Louis and St. Louis Community College in Florissant Valley. She was united in marriage on October 18, 1969 in St. Louis to Richard John Gleba. This union was blessed with two sons: Richard, Jr. and Michael. She worked for many years as a Human Resource Representative for Hussman, retiring in August 2002. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O'Fallon. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Thelma Parrinello; and one brother, Michael Earl Parrinello. Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 41 years, Richard Gleba, Sr. of O'Fallon, MO; twos sons: Richard Gleba, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Columbia, MO and Michael Gleba of O'Fallon, MO; and one grandchild: Chelsea Gleba. She also leaves two sisters: Robyn Wehde and her husband, Neil, of Elsberry, MO and Terri Hanlon and her husband, Tim, of Elsberry; one sister-in-law, Belinda Parrinello of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
