Obituary of Robert Lee Russell

Robert Lee Russell "Breeze" Memorial Services for Robert Lee Russell "Breeze" of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Doug Roam, pastor of United Pentecostal Church in Elsberry, will officiate. Robert, 57, passed away Monday morning, August 30, 2010 at his home in Elsberry. Born August 29, 1953 in Corona, CA, he was the son of Dr. Frank and Esther Rudd Russell. He was a graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School. He received an associate's degree in Art from Moberly J.C. He was united in marriage on April 21, 2001 to Robbin Diane Hunter. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver for Panther Trucking. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Frank Russell. Survivors include his beloved wife of 9 years, Robbin, Russell; one son: Sean Russell and his wife, Grace of Fort Riley, KS; seven daughters: Tracy Bishop and her husband, Kenneth of Fenton, MO, Christina Hanna of Troy, MO, Roxanne Rader and her husband, Gary, of Troy, MO; Kathryn Hanna of Hawk Point, MO; Angela Russell of North Collins, NY, Carrie Russell of Truxton, MO, and Nicole Russell of Troy, MO; three step-sons: LCPL. Brandon Smith of Camp Lejeune, NC, Mark Smith of Montgomery City, MO and Nick Smith of Elsberry; two step-daughters: Tasha Smith of Middletown, MO and Tonya McGlasson and her husband, Chris of Bowling Green, MO; and twenty grandchildren. He also leaves his mother, Esther Russell of Wentzville, MO; one sister, Anne-Marie Shepard and her husband, David of Wright City, MO; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
