Obituary of Nicholas Joseph LoGrasso

Nicholas Joseph LoGrasso A Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas Joseph LoGrasso of Foley, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Fr. Raymond Hager, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Bethany Cemetery in Winfield, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Bennett, Tim LoGrasso, Aaron Bennett, Andrew Bennett, Jeremy Bennett and Dennis Knox. Nicholas, 48, passed away Sunday evening, August 29, 2010 at his home near Foley. Born July 13, 1962 in St. Louis, MO he was the son of Peter Anthony and Catherine Marie Valenti LoGrasso. He was a 1980 graduate of St. Dominic High School in O'Fallon, MO. He received an Associates Certificate in A & P from Parks College. He was united in marriage on January 18, 1992 in St. Peters, MO to Tobi Lynn Hannis. This union was blessed with a son, Alex. He worked for 25 years as an aircraft mechanic for Boeing Aircraft. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joseph LoGrasso and his grandfather, Nicholas Valenti. Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, Tobi LoGrasso of Foley and one son, Alex LoGrasso. He also leaves his parents, Peter and Catherine LoGrasso of St. Charles, MO; his maternal grandmother, Pearl Valenti of St. Louis; one brother, Tim LoGrasso and his wife, Michelle, of St. Charles; two sisters: Regina Bennett and her husband, Joseph, of O'Fallon, MO and Julie Whittier and her husband, Matt, of Nashville, TN; his mother-in-law, Barbara King, of Lenexa, KS; one sister-in-law, Michele Price, of DeSoto, KS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
