Obituary of Judie Sutton

Judie Sutton Funeral Services for Judie Sutton of Winfield, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter, director of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Ritter, Jake Bowman, Scott Bowman, Bruce Calloway, Ty Calloway and Roy Calloway. Judie, 67, passed away Monday morning, August 9, 2010 at her home in Winfield. Born September 15, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Frank Lester and Doris Violet Cecelia Crets Burkett. She was united in marriage on March 24, 1967 in East St. Louis, IL to Timon Melvin Sutton. This union was blessed with two daughters: Kim and Deborah. She worked for many years as a dog breeder for Ju-Tys Rottweilers and Kennels, retiring in 2006. She was a member of the American Kennel Club and other various dog associations. She showed with and was a member of the American English Mastiff Association. She enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Doris Burkett; and her beloved husband of 33 years, Timon Melvin Sutton. Survivors include two daughters: Kim Thomas of Winfield and Deborah Hagan and her husband, Aaron, of Maryland Heights, MO; three grandchildren: Jacob and Scott Bowman and Alexander Hagan; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also the "Beloved Granny" of the Ritter Family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
