Obituary of Nancy Lyn Austin

Nancy Lyn Austin Funeral Services for Nancy Lyn Austin of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Allen Calkins, pastor of Star Hope Baptist Church will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Copeland, Bob Gladney, Gilbert Riffle, Daniel Hull, Norman Chambers and JR Chambers. Nancy, 55, passed away Sunday evening, August 1, 2010 at her home in Elsberry. Born November 30, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of James Albert and Norma Fay Jenkins Ballew. She was a 1973 graduate of Elsberry High School. She received her LPN license from Pike-Lincoln Technical Center in Eolia, MO. She worked for several years as a nursing home LPN. She was united in marriage on September 21, 1991 in Elsberry to Charles Robert "Bob" Austin. She was a member of the Star Hope Baptist Church in Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Ballew. Survivors include her beloved husband of 19 years, Bob Austin of Elsberry, MO; her mother, Norma Ballew, of Elsberry; and one brother, Randy Ballew, and his wife, Carol, of Troy. She also leaves her maternal grandmother, Lorene Jenkins of Piedmont, MO; several aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO.
