Obituary of James Henry Koehler

James Henry Koehler Chapel services for James Henry Koehler of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Koehler, 55, passed away Monday morning, July 19, 2010 at his home in Elsberry, MO. Born October 27, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Virgil Henry and Betty Katherine Sundstrom Koehler. He was a 1973 Hazelwood High School graduate. He received an Auto Mechanics Degree from Rankin Technical College. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Francis Howell School District. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and boating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Betty Koehler. Survivors include one brother, Michael Koehler of Catawissa, MO; two sisters, Patricia Eicks and her husband, William, of Mokane, MO, and Jacquelyn Beck and her husband, Gary, of Doe Run, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
