Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Bell

Ruth Elizabeth Bell Funeral Services for Ruth Elizabeth Bell of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Karla Cunningham, pastor of Makin Memorial Church, will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Wehde, David Wehde, Chad Ward, Tyler Wehde, Steve Miles and Brandon Miles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mitchell Wehde, Carrie Ward, Jill Miles, Barb Wehde, Jessica Wehde, Victoria Wehde, Peyton Ward, Olivia Ward, Audrey Wehde and Amanda Miles. Mrs. Bell, 92, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home near Winfield. Born April 3, 1922 in Foley, MO, she was the daughter of Joel V. and Jessie Trilba McHugh Crenshaw. She was united in marriage on July 27, 1940 in Jackson, MO to Wilbert Lee Bell. This union was blessed with two daughters: Phyllis and Janet. Ruth worked at the Angelica Garment Factory for many years and as a clerk at Carrie's Closet. She loved being a housewife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Jessie Crenshaw; three brothers, Jesse Hugh Crenshaw, John Nelson Crenshaw and J.V. Crenshaw; and two sisters: Elna Stone and Dorothy Randazzo. Survivors include two daughters: Phyllis Wehde and her husband, Wayne, of Winfield and Janet Kelly and her husband, Jerry, of St. Charles, MO. She also leaves four grandchildren: Brian Wehde and his wife, Barb, of Winfield, David Wehde and his wife, Jessica, of Winfield, Carrie Ward and her husband, Chad, of Winfield and Jill Miles and her husband, Steve, of St. Charles; eight great-grandchildren: Tyler and Victoria Wehde, Peyton and Olivia Ward, Audrey and Mitchell Wehde and Amanda and Brandon Miles; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
