Obituary of Anna Burkemper Schipper

Anna Burkemper Schipper A Mass of Christian burial for Anna Bernadine Burkemper Schipper of Troy, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Schipper, Eugene Prinster, David McMenamy, Greg Burkemper, Doug Burkemper and Joe Vehige. Mrs. Schipper, 93, passed away Sunday morning, May 2, 2010 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy, MO. Born January 23, 1917 in Old Monroe, she was the daughter of Frank S. and Agatha Mennemeyer Burkemper. For several years, she owned and operated her own restaurant. She was united in marriage on March 18, 1961 in Wentzville, MO to Fred Schipper. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agatha Burkemper; four sisters: Josephine Vehige, Helen Prinster, Delphine McMenamy and Mary Salome; eleven brothers: Matthew, Richard, Adolph, Gilbert, Stephen, Lambert, Bernard, Frank, Lester, Dennis and Hilary Burkemper; and her beloved husband of 33 years, Fred Schipper. Survivors include her stepson, Dennis Schipper and his wife, Delores, of Defiance, MO; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
