Obituary of Gary Allen Webster

Gary Allen Webster Funeral Services for Gary Allen "G A" Webster of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Centennial Methodist Church in Elsberry under the direction of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Brenda Cockrell, pastor of Centennial Methodist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Mr. Webster, 51, passed away Thursday night, August 21, 2014 at his home in Elsberry. Born August 7, 1963 in Troy, MO, he was the son of James Edward, Sr. and Helen Willetta Powell Webster. Gary joined and was baptized at Lost Creek Baptist Church in Elsberry at a young age. He attended school in the Elsberry R-II School District. One of his loves was listening to Gospel singing. His favorite song was "I'm Still Here." He was employed for a number of years at Forrest Keeling Nursery near Elsberry. Through his life, Gary met many people and made many friends. He had a soft and loving heart for his family and friends. His greatest love was for his Mother and family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Webster, Sr.; his step-father, Frank Crumes; one sister, Doris Webster and one brother, Wayne Webster. Survivors include his mother, Helen Crumes of Elsberry; three brothers: James E. Webster, Jr. and Phillip L. Webster, both of Elsberry, and Charles Crumes and his wife, Tena, of Memphis, TN; and one sister, Carol J. Burris and her husband, Tom, of Louisiana, MO. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Centennial Methodist Church in Elsberry.
