Obituary of Vincent Leon Mozier

Vincent Leon Mozier Funeral services for Vincent Leon Mozier of Foley, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church, will officiate with burial in Corinth Cemetery near Foley, MO. Mr. Mozier, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Jefferson Barracks VA Nursing Home in St. Louis. Born April 28, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Efton and Lora Dell Calvin Mozier. A veteran of World War II and stationed in Iceland, he served his country in the U.S. Army from December 17, 1942 until he was honorably discharged December 3, 1945. He was also a commercial carpenter in the St. Louis area. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Efton and Lora Mozier; two brothers: Virgil Mozier and Alva Mozier; and one sister: Dorothy Wright. Survivors include two brothers: John Mozier and his wife, Pauline, of Old Town, FL, and Paul Mozier and his wife, Iris, of Winfield, MO; two sisters: Alfreda Alstat and her husband, Purle, of Murphysboro, IL, and Doris Melinhar and her husband, Arnold, of St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
