Obituary of Billy Gene De'Long

Funeral Services for Billy Gene DeLong of Montgomery City, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Allen Laramore, pastor of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Montgomery City, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery. Mr. DeLong, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at his home in Montgomery City. Born February 14, 1935 in Hornersville, MO, he was the son of Louis and Mildred Frost DeLong. He was employed as an auto body spray painter at General Motors in St. Louis, MO from 1955 until he retired in 1979. He most recently attended the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Montgomery City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred DeLong; and three brothers: Louis DeLong, Jerry Don DeLong and Doyle DeLong. Survivors include eight children, several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Earl DeLong of Mississippi; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
