Obituary of Sam C. Fuller

Sam C. Fuller Funeral services for Sam Charles Fuller of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Elsberry. Rev. Tom Schofield, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Kroeger, Bobby Green, Trevor Moore, Pat McMillon, Fred Hausgen, John Bange, Jimmy Jeans and Brian Bazzell; honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Fuller, Bryan Wells, Mike McMillon, Sean McMillon, Justin McMillon, Chuck Talbot and Gary Anderson. Mr. Fuller, 70, died Friday morning, November 6, 2009 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born June 21, 1939 in Calhoun County, IL, he was the son of Millard and Alice Bakitz Fuller. He was united in marriage on August 1, 1964 in St. Louis County, MO to Patricia Lee FaQuin. He was employed for many years in the maintenance department at the Dundee Cement Plant (now Holcim) near Clarksville, MO, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Boilermakers Local #469. He was a member of the Elsberry First Christian Church. Mr. Fuller enjoyed Nascar, fishing and watching the river, as well as tinkering in his garage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard Fuller and Alice Fuller-Kamp; and one nephew, Mark Fuller. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Pat Fuller of Elsberry; two daughters: Cammie McMillon of Elsberry, and Debbie Harding and her husband, Fred, of Mechanicsville, MD; seven grandchildren: Bryan Wells, Jessica Hare and her husband, Patrick, Mike, Maria, Sean, Justin and Briana McMillon; and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Ralph Fuller and his wife, Hope, of Savannah, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
