Obituary of Gloria Jean Lloyd

Gloria Jean Lloyd Funeral services for Gloria Jean Lloyd of Lake St. Louis, MO will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Calvary Assembly of God Church near Winfield. Rev. David Lloyd, church pastor, will officiate with burial in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in St. Charles, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be James, David, Steven, Michael and Ronald Lloyd. Mrs. Lloyd, 80, died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. Born October 11, 1929 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Catherine A. Carrico Fredenburg. She graduated high school from St. Charles High and attended Sanford Brown. She was united in marriage on September 2, 1950 in St. Charles, MO to George Ray Lloyd. This union was blessed with six sons: George, James, David, Steven, Michael and Ronald. She worked for 25 years as a secretary for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church near Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Catherine Fredenburg; one sister, Lyndia Anderson; one son, George Ray, Jr. Lloyd; and one grandson, Justin Skaggs. Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, George Lloyd of Lake St. Louis; five sons: James Lloyd and his wife, Debbie, of Wentzville, MO, Rev. David Lloyd and his wife, Donna, of Winfield, Steven Lloyd of Lake St. Louis, Michael Lloyd of Lake St. Louis, and Ronald Lloyd and his wife, Angie, of St. Charles, MO; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 until the time of service.
