Obituary of Sandra Kaye Johnson

A Memorial Service for Sandra Kaye Johnson of Elsberry, MO will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Tony Jeems of Phillipsburg, MO will officiate. Mrs. Johnson, 44, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born October 26, 1964 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Lawrence William Hinds and Glenda Kaye Schlueter. She was a 1983 graduate of Sunny Slope High School in Phoenix, AZ. She was united in marriage on November 29, 1985 in Las Vegan, NV to Larry Junior Johnson. She worked for the Elsberry Senior Center and for several yeas as a clerk at the Elsberry IGA. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Hinds; her step-father, John Dancoff, Sr.; and two stillborn daughters: Melanie and Melissa Johnson. Survivors include her beloved husband of 23 years, Larry Johnson of Elsberry; her mother, Glenda Schlueter of Stoutland, MO; and her step-mother, Bonnie Steele of Martinsburg, MO. She also leaves six brothers: Scott Hinds and his wife, Heather, of O'Fallon, MO, Robert Hinds and his wife, Viv, of El Mirage, AZ, Kevin Dancoff and his wife, Ann, of Phoenix, AZ, John Dancoff and his wife, Cindy, Jim Dancoff, and his wife, Patti, and Dennis Dancoff, all of Lincolnton, NC; two sisters: Cindy Smiley and her husband, Tim, of Garland, TX, and Karen Harrill and her husband, Steve, of Lincolnton, NC; one aunt, Carol Lowry of Elsberry; several other relatives, and many friends.
