Obituary of Andrew Alvin Stewart

Andrew Alvin Stewart Funeral services for Andrew Alvin Stewart of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Elsberry Apostolic Pentecostal Church with Rev. Doug Roam officiating. Burial will be in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Samuels, Joshua Amman, John Mooney, Larry Riffle, Michael Riffle, Damon Nickens, Larry Cox, and Benjamin Torrens. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ben McNail and Robert Graham. Mr. Stewart, 40, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his home near Elsberry. Born February 19, 1969 in Troy, he was the son of Eugene Clarence and Patricia Jane Riffle Stewart, Sr. He worked in residential construction as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Elsberry Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Elsberry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Patricia Stewart; and one brother, Eugene C. Stewart, Jr. in 1993. Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Joanne Stewart and Katherine "Katie" Elisebeth Stewart of Troy, MO; brother, Kevin Bartley Stewart of Sedalia, MO; three sisters: Fae Ellen Mitchell and her husband, William, of Foley, Joyce Ann Amman and her husband, Bill, of Elsberry, and Mary Alvena Mooney and her husband, John, of Whiteside, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry; and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Elsberry Apostolic Pentecostal Church until time of the Service.
