Pearl Wade A Memorial Service for Pearl Wade of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry. Rev. Tom Schofield, church pastor, will officiate with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO. Mrs. Wade, 84, died Monday evening, August 31, 2009 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born December 20, 1924 in Stoke on Trent, England, she was the daughter of Fred and Clarissia Skaratt Reeves. She was united in marriage on June 10, 1944 in England to Robert Wade. This union was blessed with two sons: Geoffrey Kendell and Randell Michael. Mrs. Wade worked for 20 years as a sales clerk for Sears, retiring in 1989. She was also a dance instructor for many years. She was a member of the Elsberry First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Clarissia Reeves; and one son, Geoffrey Wade who died April 13, 1998. Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Wade of Elsberry; one son: Randell Wade and his wife, Susan, of Elsberry; seven grandchildren: Angie Williams of Wright City, MO, Christy Steen and her husband, Christopher, of Elsberry, Elizabeth Wade of Quincy, IL, Dustin and Danny Payne of KY; Tyger Davis of O'Fallon, MO, and Storm Davis of Elsberry; and two great-grandchildren: Hailey Williams and Maddox Wade. She also leaves one brother, Harold Reeves and his wife, Katherine, of England; two sisters: Betty Ware and Jean Reeves of England; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Elsberry First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice or the Elsberry First Christian Church in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
