Obituary of Lillian Louise Mudd

Lillian Louise Mudd A Memorial Mass for Lillian Louise Mudd of Elsberry, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Deacon Pete Gounis, Chaplain for Community Loving Care Hospice, and Father Raymond Hager, church pastor, will officiate with inurnment in Elsberry City Cemetery. Mrs. Mudd, 86, died Saturday evening, August 29, 2009 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born June 5, 1923 in Bowling Green, MO, she was the daughter of William Perry and Lois Miche Tinsley. She was a 1941 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She was united in marriage on November 30, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Herman Oscar Mudd. This union was blessed with four children: Carol, David, Sue and Donna. Mrs. Mudd was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Lois Tinsley; two sisters: Rebecca Barnes and Eileen Luebrecht; and one infant brother. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Herman Mudd of Elsberry; four children: Carol Elrod and her husband, Chuck, of Warrenton, MO, David Mudd and his wife, Laurie, of Monroe City, MO, Sue Latham and her husband, Mick, of Winfield, and Donna Boedeker of Troy, MO; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She also leaves two sisters: Mary "Tea" Hyde of Gillette, WY, and Olive "Pokey" Ross and her husband, Joe, of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the J.R. Palmer Library in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
