Alice Claire Ruff A Memorial Mass for Alice Claire Ruff of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with inurnment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Mrs. Ruff, 77, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at her home in Winfield. Born October 26, 1931 in O'Fallon, MO, she was the daughter of Edward and Theresa Eckhoff Pieper, Sr. She was a 1949 graduate of Assumption High School in O'Fallon. She was united in marriage on March 14, 1953 in O'Fallon to Harold Joseph Ruff. This union was blessed with two children: Danny and Kathy. Mrs. Ruff worked for 25 years as a teller for St. Charles Federal Savings and Loan, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Theresa Pieper; three brothers: Ralph, Paul and Roy Pieper; two sisters: Rosemary Jackson and Betty Pieper; and her beloved husband of 55 years, Harold Ruff who died November 18, 2008. Survivors include one son, Danny Ruff and his wife, Janine, of St. Charles, MO; one daughter, Kathy Wilkerson and her husband, Mark, of Winfield; four grandchildren: Danielle Coleman and her husband, Ryan, of Hawk Point, MO, Alex Ruff of St. Charles, Alyssa Wilkerson, and Dean Wilkerson both of Winfield; and one great-grandson, Drake Coleman. She also leaves two brothers: Edward "Buck" Pieper and his wife, Joan, of Theodosia, MO, and Joseph Pieper and his wife, Marlene, of O'Fallon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
