Obituary of Shirley Marilyn Tiller

Funeral services for Shirley Marilyn Tiller of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield, MO. Rev. Carla Cunningham, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Corinth Cemetery in Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Diana Hoelscher, Kyle Rothermich, Tyler Rothermich, Zac Weiss, Cory Tiller, Dustin Petry, and David Petry. Mrs. Tiller, 71, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at her home in Winfield. Born October 15, 1937 in Batchtown, IL, she was th e daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth Wilson Kress, Sr. She was united in marriage on November 28, 1959 in St. Charles, MO to Ronald Gene Tiller, Sr. This union was blessed with five children: Marsha, Ronald, David, Patrick, and Shawn. She was a member of WINCO and the Winfield Booster Club. She also served as a reading buddy. Mrs. Tiller was a member of the Makin Memorial United Methodist Church throughout her married life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Margaret Kress. Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald Tiller, Sr. of Winfield; four sons, Ronald Tiller, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, David Tiller, Patrick Tiller and his wife, Shannon, and Shawn Tiller all of Winfield; one daughter, Marsha Rothermich and her husband, Rick, of Troy, MO; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Elmer Kress, Jr. and his wife, Jo, of Ballwin, MO; her loving niece, Puddy Petry; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
