Obituary of Joan Veronica Hoelting

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Veronica Hoelting of St. Peters, MO, formerly of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Rusbacky, Ryan Goldsborough, Adam Goldsborough, Nicholas Baker, Michael Rusbacky, and Eli Hoelting. Mrs. Hoelting, 79, died Wednesday evening, July 22, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born January 20, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of William Peter and Jeanette Alewel Butler. She was a 1948 graduate of Beaumont High school. She was united in marriage on November 20, 1948 in St. Louis to Percy Franklin Hoelting. This union was blessed with six children: Roger, Nancy, Sandra, Dennis, Frank, and Kristine. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jeanette Butler; one brother, Thomas Butler; one son, Frank Hoelting who died February 12, 1983; and her beloved husband of 33 years, Percy Hoelting who died December 2, 1981. Survivors include two sons: Roger Hoelting and his wife, Mary Beth, of Wildwood, MO, and Dennis Hoelting and his wife, Tonya, of Old Monroe; three daughters: Nancy Rusbacky and her husband, Michael, of St. Peters, Sandra Goldsborough and her husband, Benjamin, of St. Charles, MO, and Kristine Baker of O'Fallon, MO; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, William "Bill" H. Butler of O'Fallon; one daughter-in-law, Karen Hoelting of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
