Obituary of Kenneth Lee Burbridge

Kenneth Lee Burbridge, Jr. Funeral Services for Kenneth Lee Burbridge, Jr. of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. David Rispoli, chaplain of AmHeart Hospice, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Sullivan Burbridge, Yancy Burbridge, Mike Hambach, Eddie Calvin, Michael Schreiner, Tim Reller, Bob Kindred, Jeff Marler, Pat Hammond, and Ken Pickard. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Burbridge, Kenneth Burbridge, Sr., Dennis Burbridge, Jason Burbridge, John Hambach, Dennis Gage, Pat Malloy, Jamie Momphard, Frank Zang, Brad Olson, and Andy Steimel. Mr. Burbridge, 52, passed away late Tuesday evening, June 30, 2009 at his home in Elsberry. Born January 21, 1957 in St. Charles, MO he was the son of Kenneth Lee and Joyce Elaine Rogers Burbridge, Sr. He was united in marriage on August 16, 2002 in Troy, MO to Jill Marie Hambach. He worked for nineteen years as a coach in the electronic wafer manufacturer department at MEMC. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, history, collecting coins and antiques, and participated in French and Indian War Reenactments. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Powelson; and one brother, Justin Lisle Burbridge. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 7 years, Jill Burbridge of Elsberry; one son, Sullivan Burbridge of Elsberry; three daughters, Kendra Edelen and her husband, Jason, of Troy, Melodie Lynn and her husband, Jason, of Wentzville, MO, and Lakota Burbridge of Elsberry; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Schreiner and her husband, Michael, of Sneads Ferry, NC; and two granddaughters, Kaydence Lynn and Anuhea Schreiner. He also leaves his father, Kenny Burbridge, Sr. and his wife, Loraine, of Elsberry; two brothers: Jason Burbridge and his wife, Amy, of Ballwin, MO, and Josh Burbridge and his companion, Kat, McGill of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Kimberly Zang and her husband, Frank, of Crestwood, MO, and Brooke Reller and her husband, Tim, of Troy; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
