Obituary of Thomas Eugene Presley

Thomas Eugene Presley, Sr. Funeral Services for Thomas Eugene "Gene" Presley, Sr. of Hawk Point, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Richard Turnbull, of Winfield, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas I. Presley, Doug Presley, Wayne Morris, Clint Presley, Tim Ashbridge and Tony Shramek. Mr. Presley, 55, died Wednesday evening, May 27, 2009 at his home in Hawk Point. Born April 6, 1954 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Noble Irl "Bud" and Lois Faye Akers Presley, Jr. He was united in marriage on November 11, 1992 in Hawk Point to Doris Ann Heitman. He worked for several years for Rose Acre Farms, retiring on January 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, Noble "Bud" Presley, Jr.; one sister, Deborah Morris and one son, Chad Presley. Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years, Ann Presley, of Hawk Point; one son, Thomas Presley, Jr.; one daughter, Cynthia Brill and her husband, Shannon, of Oostburg, WI; and three grandchildren. He also leaves his mother, Faye Presley of Foley, MO; one brother, Buddy Presley and his wife, Leann of Winfield; one sister, Colleen Dillin and her husband, Mike, of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
