Obituary of Kenneth William Linke

Kenneth William Linke Funeral Services for Kenneth William Linke of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Garry McCracken, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate with burial in Jonesburg City Cemetery in Jonesburg, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Arik Linke, Allan Linke, Philip Linke, Jim Sitze, Don Ehrley and Jeff Clamors. Mr. Linke, 67, died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born February 14, 1942 in Warrenton, MO, he was the son of Chris George and Ida L. Schneider Linke. He was a 1960 graduate of Warrenton High School. He later completed 124 credit hours towards an Industrial Arts Degree at Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO. He owned and operated Linke Building Systems from 1983 until 1997. He later served as the maintenance director for several nursing homes in Lincoln, St. Charles, and St. Louis Counties. He was currently working as a bagger at Dierbergs. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents: Chris and Ida Linke; and one brother, Donald Linke. Survivors include two sons: Chris Linke and his wife, Debbie, of Center, MO, and Philip Linke of Chicago, IL; one daughter, Karie Linke and her husband, Eric Pirtle, of Glendale, MO; and two grandchildren: Arik and Allan. He also leaves one sister-in-law, Susan Linke of St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
