Obituary of Judy Kaye Shields

Judy Kaye Shields Funeral services for Judy Kaye Shields of Foley, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate with burial in Asbury Cemetery near Foley. Serving as pallbearers will be Lewis Lavy, Josh Lavy, Bruce Wallace, Kevin Moulton, Bill Hoelting and Terry Blair. Mrs. Shields, 61, died Friday evening, April 10, 2009 at the St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born July 28, 1947 in Elsberry, MO, she was the daughter of John Knox and Jessie Bernice Crenshaw Davis. She was united in marriage on July 22, 1982 at Asbury Church near Foley to Gary Lee Shields. She worked as a server at Winfield Manor for the past 12 years. She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Davis in 1999 and Jessie Davis in 2006. Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Gary L. Shields of Foley; her step-son, Gary L. Shields, Jr. and his wife, Melitta, of Winfield; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan and Bailey Shields. She also leaves two sisters: Mary Jane Wallace and her husband, James, of Foley, and Becky Blair and her husband, Terry, of Winfield; five nieces and nephews: Lisa (Bill) Hoelting, Lewis Lavy, Bruce Wallace, Diane (Ted) Bueneman and Cindy (Chris) Burbach; several great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
