Obituary of Vivian Lee Lefholz Lindsey

Vivian Lefholz Lindsey Funeral services for Vivian Lee (Lefholz) Lindsey of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Mrs. Lindsey, 61, died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2009 at her home near Winfield. Born October 24, 1947 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Verdie Henry and Berneice Tayon Lefholz. A lifelong resident of the Winfield area, she was a 1965 graduate of Winfield High School. She earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Hannibal LaGrange College, and worked at the Day Care Center in Winfield and the Day Care Center at St. Paul Church near Old Monroe for many years. She was united in marriage on September 23, 1989 in Winfield to Robert William Lindsey. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Troy Chapter #405. She was preceded in death by her father, Verdie H. Lefholz in 2004; her brother, James Lefholz in 2005; and her beloved husband, Robert Lindsey on May 26, 1998. Survivors include her mother, Berneice Lefholz of Winfield; a dear friend, Dan Braughton of Springfield, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
