Obituary of Novella Karan Frazier

Funeral Services for Novella Karan Frazier of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Mrs. Frazier, 73, passed away Thursday evening, June 26, 2014 at her home. Born November 14, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, MO, she was the daughter of Clifford Franklin Adams and Wilma Garnet Perry Rinehart. She was united in marriage on September 3, 1961 in Las Vegas, NV to Russell Osborne Frazier. This union was blessed with three children: Deborah Kay, Edward Alan and Walter Russell. Karan worked on the flow team and as a cashier at Target. She was a former member of Church on the Rock. Karan loved to read and spend time with nature. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Adams and Wilma Rinehart; one brother, Robert Adams; one sister, Lavonda Casteel; and her beloved husband of nearly 21 years, Russell Frazier, who died June 30, 1982. Survivors include three children: Deborah Frazier of Winfield; Edward Frazier and his wife, Sammie, of Lake Isabella, CA and Walter Frazier and his wife, Anastasia, of Winfield; and four grandchildren: Eddie, Nick, Madison and Russell. She also leaves two sisters: Willa Overton and her husband, Dean, of O'Fallon, MO and Constance Mize of Manteca, CA; one brother, David Adams and his wife, Donna, of St. Peters, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
