Lorraine Rosemary Dietrich Funeral services for Lorraine Rosemary Dietrich of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Conrad Cheatham, pastor of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Miller, John Williams, Richard Barber, Tom Kremer, Adam Kremer and Geoff Mergel; and honorary pallbearers will be: Ben Dietrich, Darren Dietrich and Clarence Sprick. Mrs. Dietrich, 81, died Saturday morning, February 14, 2009 at her home near Elsberry. Born February 17, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Fred and Mabel Wessler Blaske. She was a 1945 graduate of Beaumont High School in St. Louis. She was united in marriage on November 15, 1952 in St. Louis to Alvin Arthur Dietrich. This union was blessed with six children: Gregory William, Robert Alvin, John Frederick, Thomas Michael, James Daniel and Susan Claire. Before moving to the Elsberry area 35 years ago, she was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Louis. Mr. & Mrs. Dietrich owned and operated the Bus Depot in Elsberry; and delivered St. Louis Post Dispatch and the St. Louis Globe Democrat in the Elsberry area. Mrs. Dietrich was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church near Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mabel Blaske; her sister, Margaret Sprick; and her beloved husband of 50 years, Alvin Dietrich, who died November 17, 2002. Survivors include five sons: Gregory Dietrich of Elsberry, Bob Dietrich and his wife, Tedi, of Louisville, KY, John Dietrich and his wife, Diane, of Elsberry, Tom Dietrich and his wife, Angie of Elsberry, and James Dietrich and his wife, Tammy, of St. Louis; one daughter, Susan Miller and her husband, Scott, of Elsberry; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Beatrice Sprick and her husband, Clarence, of Warrenton, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to Mt.
