Obituary of Mildred A. Dott

Funeral services for Mildred A. Dott of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Garry McCracken, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Mrs. Dott, 92, died early Friday morning, January 9, 2009 at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry. Born February 3, 1916 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of George and Magdalena Nierman Taylor. She was united in marriage on May 20, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to William Roy Dott. This union was blessed with one daughter, Marilyn. Mrs. Dott was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Magdalena Taylor; two brothers: George E. Taylor, Jr., and Elmer A. Taylor, Sr.; and her beloved husband of 48 years, William Dott, who died February 4, 1999. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn Martin and her husband, Terry, of Elsberry; two grandchildren: Marc Grooms and his wife, Diane, of Winfield, and Michelle Wiedenhoeft and her husband, Rick, of St. Louis; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
