Obituary of Ada Corrine Busch

Funeral services for Ada Corrine Busch of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Conrad Cheatham, pastor of the Elsberry AR Presbyterian Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be John Powelson, Justin Buchholz, Christopher Currie, Derek Crosson, Bob Powelson, Brian Wilson, Aaron Gladney, and Delmar Strange. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Buchholz, Tom Powelson, Dennis Currie, Allen Telle, Jodi Busch, Harry Dean Busch, Phil Knott, Bill Easley, and Raymond Momphard. Mrs. Busch, 86, died Saturday evening, December 27, 2008 at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana, MO. Born October 23, 1922 in Whiteside, MO, she was the daughter of Clarence Newton and Nettie Lee Hall Achor. She was united in marriage on August 10, 1946 in Bowling Green, MO to J.B. Pershing Busch. Mrs. Busch worked for several years at Wells Lamont Glove Factory. She was a long-time member of the Willow Springs Presbyterian Church, and later attended the Elsberry AR Presbyterian Church. She was a past Worthy Matron and 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in West Plains, MO, and the Israel Shrine #11 in Moberly, MO. She served as president for the Business and Professional Women of Willow Springs, MO and was a past advisor of the Rainbow Girls of Moberly, MO. She was also an associate member of Masters. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Newton and Nettie Achor; her cousin, Lois Buchholz, who died on August 17, 1997; and her beloved husband of 49 years, J.B. Busch who died August 15, 1995. Survivors include five cousins: Edward Colbert of Louisiana, MO, Lula Clark of Bowling Green, MO, Ruby Bobeen of Troy, MO, Mary Louise Creech of Silex, MO, and Geneva Wendler of Pittsfield, IL; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
