Obituary of Robert J. Bob Schulte
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Joseph Bob Schulte of Troy, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Moreland, Eric Schulte, Jill Sasfai, Kyle Schulte, Michael Moreland, Scott Wilmoth and Alex Schulte.
Mr. Schulte, 78, died Friday morning, November 14, 2008 in Memphis, MO as the result of an ATV accident. Born February 13, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of George William and Catherine Caroline Dreisewerd Schulte. Mr. Schulte served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 until being honorably discharged in 1954. He was united in marriage on February 20, 1954 in St. Charles, MO to Elsie Marie Amrein. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. Mr. Schulte owned and operated Schulte Construction and was also part owner of J & S Development. He was a member of the American Legion Post #420 in Old Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Catherine Schulte; three brothers: Danny Schulte, Edward Schulte, and William "Bill" Schulte.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Elsie Schulte of Troy; two sons: Thomas Schulte, and Todd Schulte and his wife, Rhonda, all of Winfield; two daughters: Teresa Moreland, and her husband, Ed, of Winfield, and Trudi Wilmoth and her husband, Steve, of O'Fallon, MO; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves five brothers: Leonard Schulte and his wife, Diane, of Winfield, Allen Schulte and his wife, Brenda, of Old Monroe, James Schulte and his wife, Carole, of Winfield, Herbert Schulte and his wife, Lou, of Old Monroe and Eugene Schulte and his wife, Carol, of Old Monroe; two sisters: Rita Gilbert of St. Charles and Mary Lou Schulte of Old Monroe; one sister-in-law: Elaine Schulte of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 3:00 - 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO.
