Obituary of Sarah Lucille Weeks

Funeral services for Sarah Lucille Weeks of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. J. Larry Carter, of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Mrs. Weeks, 88, died early Thursday morning, November 13, 2008 at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center in Troy, MO. Born June 21, 1920 in Pike County, MO, she was the daughter of Claude and Margaret Melinda Wamsley Brown. She was a 1938 graduate of Clarksville High School. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1939 in Louisiana, MO to Thomas David Weeks. Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Margaret Brown; one sister, Claudine Johnson; and her beloved husband of 48 years, Thomas Weeks who died September 29, 1987. Survivors include one brother, Charles Brown and his wife, Georgia, of Louisiana, MO; one sister-in-law, Virginia DeMaio of Seal Beach, CA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday, November 17, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
