Obituary of MRS. Carolyn Sue Skinner

Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Skinner of Foley, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Barry Ivy, pastor of St. Charles River Church, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary French, Mark Skinner, Mark Skinner, Jr., Tony Killion, David Martin and Chester Rogalaski. Mrs. Skinner, 53, died Saturday morning, August 9, 2008 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. Born November 10, 1954 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Junior Lee and Permelia Carlene Tyree Jett. She was a 1973 graduate of Ritenour High School in St. Louis. She was united in marriage on April 9, 1983 in St. Louis to Lester William Skinner. Mrs. Skinner worked for several years in maintenance at the Orlando Gardens Banquet Center. She was preceded in death by per parents, Junior Jett and Carlene Frein; and one sister, Cheryl Jett, who died June 10, 2003. Survivors include her beloved husband of 25 years, Lester "Bub" Skinner of Foley; one son, Gary French and his wife, Shayla, of Troy, MO; and three grandchildren: Gary French, Jr., Tim French and Brianna Napoles. She also leaves her step-father, Steven Frein of Elsberry, MO two sisters: Lisa Jett and her companion, Dane Ramsour, of Sparta, IL, and Dana Honey and her husband, Elvis, of St. John, MO; one step-brother, Steven Frein and his wife, Marlene, of Elsberry; one brother-in-law, Mark Skinner of Elsberry; two sisters-in-law: Berneice Lynch of Winfield and Donna Knoch of Buffalo, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
