Obituary of Dorothy Genevieve Wright

Funeral Services for Dorothy Genevieve Wright of Foley, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church, will officiate with burial in Corinth Cemetery near Foley. Serving as pallbearers will be Arnold Melichar, Mark Mozier, Paul Mozier, Jerry Jones, Doyle Gordon and Caleb Jones. Mrs. Wright, 89, passed away late Thursday evening, July 31, 2008 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born February 10, 1919 in Annada, MO she was the daughter of Efton and Lora Dell Calvin Mozier. She was united in marriage on March 21, 1953 in Bowling Green, MO to Lawrence Albert Wright. She worked for several years as a seamstress at Wells-Lamont Glove Factory in Elsberry. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Foley Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Efton and Lora Mozier; two brothers: Alva Mozier and Virgil Mozier; and her beloved husband of 36 years, Lawrence Wright; Survivors include three brothers: Vincent Mozier of Foley, John Mozier and his wife, Pauline, of Old Town, FL, and Paul Mozier and his wife, Iris, of Winfield; two sisters: Alfreda Alstat and her husband, Purle, of Murphysboro, IL and Doris Melichar and her husband, Arnold, of St. Louis, MO. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Isabelle Mozier of Troy, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday, August 11, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
