Obituary of Marjorie Louise King

Marjorie Louise King Funeral Services for Marjorie Louise King of Old Monroe, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason W. King, Christopher R. King, Bob Mazzola, Neal Burkemper, Stan Rolf and Dennis Folwarczny. Mrs. King, 93, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 1, 2008 at her home in Old Monroe. Born July 7, 1914 in Hartford, AL she was the daughter of William Howard and Anna Weldon Yates. She was united in marriage on February 19, 1944 in Montgomery, AL to Price King. This union was blessed with two children: Randy and Margie. Mrs. King was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Yates; one brother, Monsees Yates; three sisters: Dovine Ketchum, Myrtle Durden and Elizabeth Hornsby; two half sisters: Sara Holden and Minnie Kate Brannon; and her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Price King who died in 1983. Survivors include one son, Randy King and his wife, Sharon, of Lake Sherwood, MO; one daughter, Margie Burkemper and her husband, Paul, of Old Monroe; one half sister, Jetta Dearman of Lesville, SC; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
