Obituary of Lucille Harris Marsden

Lucille Anderson Harris Marsden Funeral Services for Lucille Anderson Harris Marsden of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis. Mrs. Marsden, 97, passed away Saturday morning, May 17, 2008 at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born January 3, 1911 in Ethlyn, MO, she was the daughter of Henry Frank and Jamie Todd Martin. She was united in marriage on December 18, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Donald Bradford Harris. This union was blessed with four children: Allen, Donald, Charles and Kenneth. After 26 years of marriage, Mr. Harris passed away in 1954. She was employed for several years as a seamstress for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1963. She was married again to Delmar D. Marsden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jamie Martin; her first husband, Donald Harris; one brother, Charles Floyd Martin; two sisters: Gwen LaBarge and Alice Mortz; one son, Allen L. Harris; and her beloved husband, Delmar Marsden. Survivors include three sons: Donald Harris of Foley, MO, Charles Harris and his wife, Shirley, of Steele, MO and Kenneth Harris and his wife, Jackie, of Elsberry; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, five great, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
