Obituary of Katheryn Louise Moll

Katheryn Louise Moll Funeral Services for Katheryn Louise Moll of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. Rev. Raymond Doussard, chaplain for Tip Hospice, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Rachel Harrison, Bobbi Harrison, Matthew Harrison, Deanna Gamblin, Mark Moll, Jr., Michael Moll, Mary Beth Davis, Travis Davis and Brandon Harrison; honorary pallbearers will be Audrey Davis, Katie Harrison, Brittany Harrison, Bob Harrison and William Davis. Mrs. Moll, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center in Troy, MO. Born June 19, 1934 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Arthur and Salome Capps Garner. A lifelong resident of the Elsberry area, she was a 1952 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on September 27, 1953 in Foley, MO, to Harold Louis Moll. This union was blessed with six children: Lynda, Joyce, Carol, Mark, Dennis and Latricia. She worked for many years as a cook at The Place Restaurant in Elsberry, and later cooked for the Head Start Program in Elsberry. She was the local contact person for the OATS bus for several years. Mrs. Moll was a member of the Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Everette Leroy Garner and Lewis Deloin Garner; one sister, Bernice Garner; and one son, Dennis Moll who died March 11, 1965. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Harold Moll; one son, Mark Moll and his wife, Irene, of Lawton, OK; four daughters: Lynda Gayl Moll, Joyce Harrison and her husband, Robert, Carol Davis and her husband, William, and Latricia Louise Moll all of Elsberry; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, William Miles Garner and his wife, Louise of Louisiana, MO; one sister, Ruth Malter of Collinsville, IL; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
