Obituary of Richard Neal Harding

Funeral Services for Richard Neal Harding, Sr. of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Doug Roam, pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, will officiate with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Harding II, J.T. Harding II, Joey Harding, Marshall Harding, Tracy Harding and Bill Motley. Mr. Harding, 53, passed away late Monday evening, May 12, 2008 at the St. Charles Heath Center. Born February 18, 1955 in Louisiana, MO, he was the son of John Thomas "J.T." and Louis Jean Howard Harding. He was united in marriage on March 28, 1976 in Winfield, MO to Lois Ann Hunter. This union was blessed with three children: Richard Neal, John Thomas "J.T." and Joseph Kendall. He was employed for many years as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Jean Harding; and one brother, Kevin Leon Harding. Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Lois Harding of Elsberry; three sons: Richard Harding II and his wife, Shelley, of Hannibal, MO, John "J.T" Harding II of O'Fallon, MO, and Joseph Harding of Elsberry; and four grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers: Marshall Harding and his wife, Karen, of Cape Girardeau, MO and Tracy Harding and his wife, Angie, of Leesburg, MO; five sisters: Janet Dietzel and her companion, Elmer Miller, of Elsberry, Debbie Motley and her husband, Bill, of Louisiana, MO, Dina Kinion and her husband, Tom, of Elsberry, Tina Dunaway and her husband, Lance, of Eldon, MO and Barbara "Bobbi Jo" Rothweil and her husband, Joe, of Troy, MO; his mother-in-law, Ruth Moore of Wright City, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
