Obituary of Wilburn Paul Graue

Funeral Services for Wilburn Paul Graue of Elsberry, MO, formerly of Moscow Mills, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Hubert Newman of Moscow Mills, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Graue, Paul Boeck, Dwayne Baumgarte, Joshua Chapin, Ryan Baumgarte, Brett Hammann, Mason Baumgarte and Kegan Baumgarte. Mr. Graue, 73, passed away Thursday evening, May 1, 2008 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. Born November 27, 1934 in New Florence, MO, he was the son of Raymond Henry and Marie Bell Jones Graue. He was a 1952 graduate of Mexico High School. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy from February 2, 1953 until January 28, 1957. He was united in marriage in 1961 to Ivonne Dobbs. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1965. He was married again on October 15, 1980 in Troy, MO to Rosalee Brown. He was employed for many years as a purchasing agent for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing in St. Louis, retiring in January, 1990. He was a member of the Winfield - Old Monroe VFW Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marie Graue; one brother, Donald Graue; one sister, Rose Lloyd; and his beloved wife of 19 years, Rosalee Graue who died July 3, 2000. Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Scott Graue and his wife, Michele, of Wright City, MO; two daughters: Elisabeth Renee Boeck and her husband, Paul, of Columbia, MO and Christina Kay Baumgarte and her husband, Dwayne, of Eolia, MO; one step-son, Robert W. "Bill" Burkett, Jr. and his wife, Terri, of Bridgeton, MO; one step-daughter, Sharon Willen of St. Ann, MO; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Winston Graue and his wife, Cathy, of Clinton, MO; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
