Obituary of Beverly A. Sharpe

Funeral services for Beverly Ann Sharpe of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Joe Huckstep, Associate Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Pittsfield, IL, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Goddard, Larry Tubbs, Kendall Sisson, Bill Huckstep, John Hopkins and Steven Sharpe. Mrs. Sharpe, 68, died early Monday morning, March 24, 2008 at the Elsberry Health Care Center. Born March 7, 1940 in Fenton, MO, she was the daughter of Raymond and Goldie K. Wentzel Schuetz. She was a graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on September 29, 1956 in Pemberton, NJ to Gary David Sharpe. This union was blessed with two children: David Gene and Mark Allan. She was a member of the National Rifle Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Goldie Schuetz. Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Gary Sharpe of Elsberry; two sons: David Sharpe and his wife, Christy, of Hawk Point, MO, and Mark Sharpe and his wife, Becky, of Humboldt, IA; and three grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Donald Schuetz and his wife, LaVerne, of Fenton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
