Obituary of Peggy J. Gebhardt

Funeral services for Peggy Joyce Gebhardt of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate with inurnment in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Mrs. Gebhardt, 75, died Thursday evening, October 18, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born August 23, 1932 in Tennessee, she was one of twelve children to Glofus and Vannie Manley. She was united in marriage on May 15, 1954 to Lester Calvin Gebhardt in Arkansas. This union was blessed with two children: Pamela Jean and Lester Charles. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glofus and Vannie Manley; eleven brothers and sisters; and her beloved husband of 41 years, Lester Calvin Gebhardt, who died in 1995. Survivors include one son, Lester Gebhardt of Elsberry; one daughter, Pamela Bober and her husband, Stephen, of Richmond, TX; two grandchildren, Stephen, Jr. Bober and John Bober; other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
