Georgia "Lucy" Bryant Funeral services for Georgia Lucille "Lucy" Roberts Bryant of St. Charles, MO will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Don Bizer, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ, will officiate with burial in St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery in Old Monroe, MO. Mrs. Bryant, 86, died early Wednesday morning, September 19, 2007 at NHC Healthcare Center of St. Charles. Born April 30, 1921 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of Claude and Lottie Brown Briscoe. She was united in marriage on September 19, 1942 in Elsberry, MO to Lee Edward Roberts. This union was blessed with three children: Sandra, James and Anna. Mr. Roberts preceded her in death May 16, 1969. She was married again on August 20, 1974 in Old Monroe, MO to Vernon A. Bryant. She worked for many years as a cook for the Winfield School District, and as a cosmetic representative for Avon. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in O'Fallon, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lottie Briscoe; her first husband, Lee Edward Roberts; one brother, Melvin Briscoe; one sister, Winona Nuckols; one son-in-law, Donald Dean Twellmann; and her beloved husband, Vernon A. Bryant, who died on December 10, 1986. Survivors include one son, James Edward Roberts and his wife, Nita, of Foley, MO; two daughters: Sandra Hobbs and her husband, Bill, of Chesterfield, MO, and Anna Lee Twellmann of Troy, MO; one step-son, Rich Bryant of Utah; two step-daughters: Dixie Dickmeyer and her husband, Rich, of O'Fallon, and Patty Bryant of California; seven grandchildren: Cary Hobbs, Amy Allen and her husband, Brian, Craig Twellmann and his wife, Denise, Tracy Pezold and her husband, Jason, Joseph Roberts, Shawn Roberts and Edward Roberts; two great-grandchildren: Lauren Allen and Emily Allen; one step-grandson, Tim Dickmeyer. She also leaves one brother, Howard Briscoe, and his wife, Betty, of Rockville, MD; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon, Friday, September 21, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
