He was a wonderful man with such a big heart. I can still remember his sweet smile and his kindness after all these years. He was my elementary principal, and I adored him. He would go around cutting everyone’s food in the cafeteria for them. To this day I still often tear up my pancakes before I add syrup because it’s just easier that way, as he taught me! He was such a sweet soul!

Mr. Kroeger moved to my school when I was in about the 7th grade. He brought his wt. equipment and set up on the old gym stage and lifted like a mad man 3 or 4 days a week. He always opened the gym on Sundays so we could have something to do. I started lifting in about the 7th grade and although I am 67 now I still try and keep a workout routine and it's mainly because of him. They don't make principals like him anymore. I will always remember everything he did for me and all the students.

My fondest childhood memories are of the idyllic village of Southard, Oklahoma and the storybook school building where Mr. Kroeger was Principal. He was a comforting presence, had a ready smile, and was a wonderful Father and Family man. I was in the same class with his daughter, Mary, and I was sorry to see the family move away. I’m praying that God will grant the family peace as they mourn.

My condolences to the family. I can’t begin to tell all the memories of Mr. Kroeger. From horseback riding, hunting raccoons, rattlesnake hunting, looking for arrowheads, bird hunting and a lot of school activities. Mr. Kroeger was the BEST!!!!!!!!

My condolences to the family. Bill was the best boss I ever had. My memory is of the elementary kids loving him and he loving them. He took lunchroom duty so the teachers could take a little break. I still have a gift he gave to me of a small piano box.
