Obituary of Raymundo Francisco Tomas

A Funeral Mass for Raymundo Rosalio Francisco Tomas of Elsberry, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Fr. Charles Tichacek, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Guatemala. Raymundo, 36, passed away early Saturday morning, December 7, 2024 near Elsberry, the result of an automobile accident. Born March 13, 1988 in San Pedro Soloma, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, he was the son of Rosalio Tomas Francisco Mateo and Antonia Tomas Agustin. Raymundo worked for Forrest Keeling Nursery as a laborer from 2007 until the time of his passing. Raymundo was united in marriage on May 19, 2024 in O’Fallon, MO to Candelaria Raymundo Simon. This union was blessed with one child, Daisy Francisco Raymundo. He was preceded in death by his father, Rosalio Tomas Francisco Mateo. Survivors include his wife, Candelaria Raymundo Simon of Elsberry; their daughter, Daisy Francisco Raymundo of Elsberry; and his mother, Antonia Tomas Agustin of Guatemala. Raymundo also leaves his siblings: Petrona Francisco of Guatemala, Dominga Francisco of Elsberry, Dolores Francisco of Elsberry, Eulalia Francisco of Guatemala, Tomas Francisco of Elsberry, Mateo Francisco of Elsberry, Martha Francisco of Elsberry and Santiago Francisco of Elsberry; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a community of friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
