Obituary of Norma Francis Padella

A Mass of Christian Burial for Norma Francis Padella of Winfield, MO, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Michael Lampe, church pastor, Deacon Neal Westhoff and Deacon Rich Vehige will officiate with burial in the Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Padella, Max Morehouse, Troy Morehouse, Dale Kelly, David Pieper and Brandon Miles. Norma, 79, passed away early Sunday morning, September 22, 2024 at Garden View Care Center in O’Fallon, MO. Born February 9, 1945 in Old Monroe, MO, she was the daughter of Leora Curtis and Madeline Ann Pieper Kelly. Norma attended Northeast Missouri State before entering the workforce. She was united in marriage on May 6, 1967 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church to Robert Manuel Padella. This union was blessed with three children: Cindy, Sarah and Michael. Norma worked as a Secretary for McDonnell Aircraft, retiring in 1970 and later as a manager for Fastlane in Winfield and Old Monroe. Norma was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was very involved in the church community. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Leora and Madeline Kelly. Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert Padella of Winfield; their children: Cindy Padella of Old Monroe, Sarah Morehouse and her husband, Troy, of Kearney, MO and Michael Padella and his wife, Cynthia, of St. Charles, MO; and five grandchildren: Sam Padella, Maggie Morehouse, Max Morehouse, Kyle Padella and Peyton Padella. Norma also leaves her brother, Jerry Kelly and his wife, Janet, of St. Charles; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Immaculate Conception Building Fund (or) Immaculate Conception School in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
