Obituary of Richard Earle Williams, Sr.

Funeral Services for Richard Earle Williams, Sr. of Wentzville, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Burial will follow in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Williams, Jr., Bobby Williams, Jerry Kuntz, Richard Rainwater, Colt Williams and Connor Williams. Richard, 68, passed away Wednesday evening, June 5, 2024 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country, MO. Born December 30, 1955 in Charleston, SC, he was the son of James and Shirley Mae Russell Williams. Richard owned Williams Security. He was a former member of the Lincoln County Jaycees and enjoyed playing pool. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley Williams. Survivors include his children: Catherine Coleen Williams of Winfield, Richard Earl Williams, Jr. of Wentzville and Bobby Joe Williams of Troy, MO; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Richard also leaves two brothers: Joseph Wells III of California and Jacob Wells of Texas; two sisters: Margaret Gardner-Creel of South Carolina and Julia Smith, also of South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
