Obituary of Richard Joseph LoGrasso
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Joseph LoGrasso of Moscow Mills, MO will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Fr. Michael Lampe, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky LoGrasso, Dominic LoGrasso, Brian LoGrasso, Kody Fryer, Gary Ritter, Jr. and Sean Farber; and honorary pallbearer will be Charles D. LoGrasso. A private Inurnment will be held at a later date at Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO.
Rick, 65, passed away Friday afternoon, April 5, 2024 at his home near Moscow Mills. Born September 24, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Charles Paul and Jeanette Sutter LoGrasso. He was a 1977 graduate of Hazelwood West High School in St. Louis. Rick was united in marriage on July 29, 1978 in Woodson Terrace, MO to Michele Marie Elze. This union was blessed with two sons: Richard C. “Ricky” and Dominic M. Rick enjoyed coaching little league baseball, soccer, football and volleyball. He was also an avid lover of dogs.
Rick was a truck driver for Schneider International in St. Louis. He was a member of Meat Cutters Union, Local #88 in St. Louis, and the International Food & Commercial Workers in St. Louis. Rick was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Old Monroe.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette LoGrasso; and his step-mother, Audree LoGrasso.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Michele “Shelley” LoGrasso of Moscow Mills; their sons: Ricky LoGrasso and his wife, Kaeley, of Moscow Mills, and Dominic LoGrasso of Camp Pendleton, CA; and one granddaughter, Brinleigh LoGrasso. Rick also leaves his father, Charles P. “Chuck” LoGrasso of St. Peters, MO; one brother: Charles D. LoGrasso and his wife, Kathy, of Hazelwood, MO; one sister, Susan M. Ritter and her husband, Gary, of Union, MO; one step-sister, Pamela Kavanagh and her husband, J.P., of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, and from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
