Obituary of Jennifer Leigh Bange

Jennifer Leigh Bange A Mass of Christian Burial for Jennifer Leigh Bange of Hannibal, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Msgr. James E. Hanson, of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Genevieve, MO, officiated with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Gregory Bange, Paul Bange, Bill Lagemann, John Lagemann, Manford Hammond and Jeff Bange. Ms. Bange, 33, died Tuesday evening, July 3, 2007 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, MO where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. Born February 25, 1974 in St. Charles, Missouri, she was the daughter of Bernard Michael and Donna Marie Gray Bange. Suffering from spina-bifida since birth, she was a resident of the Hathaway group home in Hannibal for the last two years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Valentine and Genevieve Bange and Frank and Fannie Gray; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Bange who died in infancy. Survivors include her parents, Bernard and Donna Bange of Elsberry; one brother, Mike Bange and his wife, Janelle, of Elsberry; one sister, Maria Gilbert and her husband, Robert, also of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, July 8, 2007 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. A Prayer Service was held during visitation at the funeral home Sunday evening. Visitation continued Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the J. R. Palmer Family Memorial Library or to the Judevine Center for Autism in Marion or Ralls County, Missouri in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
