Obituary of Rodney Dale Reed

Funeral Services for Rodney Dale Reed, 67, of Elsberry, MO will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Elsberry Assembly of God Church in Elsberry. Rodney passed away Tuesday evening, January 16, 2024 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Rodney was born on April 9, 1956 in Troy, MO, he was the son of George Robert and Patricia Ruth Admire Reed. Rodney was united in marriage on March 5, 1994 in Elsberry to Angelena Violet Pillers. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. Rodney was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #513 in St. Louis, MO. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and logging with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Reed; and one sister, Linda Brandmeyer. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Angelena Reed of Elsberry; two daughters: Patricia Jones and her husband, Jeremy, of Louisiana, MO and Devon Nelsen and her husband, Steve, of Troy; and two grandsons: Carson Wischmeyer and Hayden Nelsen. Rodney also leaves three brothers: Danny Reed and his wife, Judy, Paul Reed and his wife, Gina, and Glen Reed, all of Elsberry; two sisters: Debbie Gilmore and her husband, Tom, of Smyrna, TN and Deanna Hager and her husband, Scott, of Eolia, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. at Elsberry Assembly of God Church.
