Obituary of Joyce Bernice Harrison

Funeral services for Joyce Bernice Harrison of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Pastor Stephen McLane of New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry, will officiate with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Sifuentes, Michael Moll, Daniel Reed, Christopher Gamblin, Jeff Harrison and Matthew Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Reed-Harrison, Brice Mitchell, Katie Pulver, Brittany Harrsch and Jordan Harrison. Joyce, 67, passed away Friday morning, December 22, 2023 at her home. Born August 17, 1956 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Harold and Katheryn Garner Moll. Joyce was united in marriage on December 31, 1971 at Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry to Robert Willis Harrison. Their home was blessed with six children: Rachel, Barbara “Bobbi”, Matthew, Deanna, Blake and Aaliyah. Joyce worked as a cook for many years at The Place. She was a member of Star Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Katheryn Moll; one sister, Lynda Moll; one brother, Denny Moll; and one daughter, Deanna Haven, who died on September 22, 2015. Survivors include her husband of nearly 52 years, Bob Harrison of Elsberry; two sons: Matthew Harrison and his wife, Emily, and Blake Haven, also of Elsberry; three daughters: Rachel Harrison, Bobbi Harrison and Aaliyah Weicht, all of Elsberry; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Joyce also leaves one brother, Mark Moll and his wife, Irene, of Germany; two sisters: Carol Davis and LaTricia Moll, both of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
