Obituary of David Wayne Heitman

A Mass of Christian Burial for David Wayne Heitman of Troy, MO, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Dotty and Terry Pollard, Danny and Rita Heitman, Dennis Heitman, Darlene Heitman and Dede Hance. Mr. Heitman, 53, passed away Saturday evening, May 31, 2014 at Troy Manor in Troy. Born July 21, 1960 in Troy, MO, he was the son of John Delbert and Rose Ann Anthony Heitman. David attended St. Mary's School in St. Louis, MO. He was employed for several years at Community Opportunities in Troy. He enjoyed watching The Brady Bunch, baking, reading cookbooks and working puzzles. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe. David was preceded in death by his father, John Heitman in 2006; and one sister, Debbie Heitman in 1974. Survivors include his beloved mother, Rose Ann Heitman of Moscow Mills, MO; two brothers: Danny Heitman and his wife, Rita, and Dennis Heitman, all of Moscow Mills; three sisters: Dotty Pollard and her husband, Terry, of Lake St. Louis, MO, Darlene Heitman of Dardenne Praire, MO, and Dede Hance of House Springs, MO; and eleven nieces and nephews: Breanne, Brandon, Adam and Alex Pollard, Samantha, Trevor, Travis and Sabrina Hance, Luke Heitman and Joseph and Jordan Schwent. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO and again on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home during the visitation Tuesday evening. Memorials may be made to Masses or the Donor's Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home; 3838 East Highway 47; P.O. Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.
